  • tobbez skriver ut behövd info från HAR-wiki.
  • Bilen är en audi 100. Gammal men håller förhoppningsvis ihop om man kör ordentligt. Stereo som fixar mp3CD men ej usb. Ingen AC, men taklucka!

Hilfe!
  • Musikanläggning - kan bilfolket ordna?Smiley
  • Hängmatta. Oh yes we do. Kan bilfolket ordna?
  • Silvertejp (läckande tält + silvertejp = oläckande tält) - FC ordnar rimlig mängd. Kanske.

Things to bring

  • Yourself and all your friends (with tickets)
  • Your ticket

for Camping

  • toilet paper
  • a drinking bottle. Drink more water - drinking (water! not mate, not beer! plain old H2O) not enough is the most common Self-DoS-Attack at camps.
  • a tent to sleep in
  • a sleeping bag and a mattress, and a sleeping pad - and a cosy cushion.
  • a blanket to sit on and place your laptop on. You might want to sit on a morning-wet ground...
  • penknife
  • a cosy sun chair for hanging out (alternatively, the field bed you're planing to sleep in)
  • chairs and tables (optional)
  • lamps (it's getting dark when the EvilDaystar falls)
  • trash bags to collect your trash
  • a fire extinguisher if you own one
  • ashtray, if you're smoking
  • Appropriate clothing: for warm and sunny, and for cold and rainy weather. It is better to have clothing you won't need than to need clothing you don't have. Although it is very warm during the day, it gets very cool in the evening. Pullovers are recommended.
  • Wet weather gear: This is very important, it can get very wet in the Netherlands
  • sun blocker. SPF 30 is recommended, unless you haven't left your dungeon since the last camp (then SPF9000 is the thing to go for)
  • a hat and sunglasses against the sun
  • Insect Repellents
  • ear plugs if you think you think you need them - the camp is basically a four day non-stop party to varying degrees
  • a swimming-dress, someone might set up a pool (or in case your tent turns into one)
  • Your towel
  • Do not forget your towel!
  • Did we already mention that bringing your towel is very important, especially if you are hitchhiking to the camp?
  • a toothbrush, toothpaste and soap.
  • shampoo for your hair, shower gel for your body (and perhaps conditioner etc.)
  • your allergy medication. And NEEDED drugs (for the other kind there is this thing called "coffee shops"). This is in the middle of nature.
  • a rope...?
  • your health international insurance service card (Krankenversichertenkarte, EHIC European Health Insurance Card the blue one) or whatever it is called in your country
  • duct tape. This is truly amazing stuff, especially to fix tents.

for computer and infastructure

  • your computer(s) - and everything you will need to repair it, including trusted Operating-System's Install DVDs
  • power cables (at least one quite long(really!) one), and more distribution sockets than you need for yourself, maybe adaptor to german power sockets.
  • a bunch of network cables and/or a wireless network adapter that is actually supported by your OS
  • as many switches you might need for your equipment
  • maybe a bunch of spare fans - heat and dust tend to kill cpu-/power supply-fans
  • The minimum amount of tools to make simple repairs on your system. For PC's and most Laptops, Netbooks, a Swiss Army Knife "Cybertool" or similar should be sufficient
  • one or more locks if you think they will do you any good (or at least hold off any hacker for more than 5 seconds)
  • tools, toys (like a Nintendo DS for wireless multiplayer fun), girl-/boyfriend, whatever you want to play with at the camp
  • a list of your trusted SSL keys (and check them!). Things can get pretty interesting otherwise...
  • a configured firewall, think about an IDS (just for fun)
  • gadgets with all kind of blinky, geeky features as conversation pieces
  • a DECT / GAP compatible phone which can be registered with eventphone ( see compatibility list and POC for suitable handsets)
  • books. also those you no longer need/want. the non-O'Reilly type preferred. This is supposed to be your vacation, after all.
  • Pinball machine(s), your original Atari Pong. infrared laser pointers, flying drones, Gigawatt TV'B'Gone, and all the other cool items you wanna show off
  • your GPS, if you want to participate on Open Streetmap
  • A radio, if you want to listen to whatever gets hacked into the airwaves
  • Netbook users: Bringing a USB CDROM might be a good idea.

  • If you arrive for buildup or stay for teardown, it could be a good idea to bring a game that does not require power and/or network, especially if you travel with children or hackers who get bored fast. Chess, Monopoly, Uno cards, things like that.
  • Also, since you are already out there in that nature thingy, you might bring stuff more suited for physical activities, like balls, frisbees, roller skates (The terrain itself is not suitable for skating activities, except for a small square near the entrance. The town nearby has asphalt and stuff, which might be more satisfactory) and things like that (if you can hack blinking lights into them: Double Bonus!)

Things to leave at home

  • Dogs and any other kind of pets. Dogs are not allowed at the camp. Besides, it is not a very dog friendly area and we might decide to have hot dog night.
  • Your home directory and other data you don't want anyone else to see (especially if it's machine readable and bluetooth enabled)
  • A microwave oven. It may disrupt wireless networks. A typical tent is not the ideal position to defend yourself against an angry mob of hackers.
  • Anything that might get you arrested at the borders like drugs, bombs, weapons of mass destruction or (possibly) your mother-in-law.

Things to care about

  • No open fire /charcoal powered BBQ outside the designated fire area.
  • Obey the rules for any flying object.
  • Don't do damage to things you don't own
  • Don't get too drunk/stoned whatever
  • Drink more.. water, that is!
  • The camp is a community event. If someone ask for a few minutes of your time to help at some task, please help.
  • Keep to the hacker code of ethics and be sure to drink water

Things to do beforehand

  • If you have a new tent, build it at least once at home. When you arrive at the camp, it might be dark, raining or both. This makes putting up a tent a lot harder when you still have to read the manual!
  • The same goes for sleeping bags, camping beds and everything else you might need to set up basic camp.
  • If your planning to participate in a village, contact the organizers of that village as early as possible. That makes planning resources a lot easier.
  • If you travel by train, bus, hitchhiking or by plane, you might want to pack your equipment a week or so before setting out to travel, to see if you haven't overpacked. If you can't carry it, you might have to reduce your equipment.
  • Create a backup of your data (you did that already, right?)
  • Update your software client. Specific dhclient: If your OS uses ISC DHCP dhclient make sure you don't run a vulnerable version. https://www.kb.cert.org/vuls/id/410676
